Pool and simple stuff!

I forgot how much I enjoyed playing pool.

Have I ever mentioned I was a pool freak? I was close to getting my own cue. I played pool almost everyday and was pretty good at it.

I have been going to the movies a lot lately at e-curve so I passed by a 'recreational joint' whenever I leave the mall.

It was a pool and karaoke joint. You know one of those Karaoke boxes kind of thingie.

So I dragged Krishna there and we played pool, me for the first time since 5 years ago.

They charged RM 3 for a game. To us, that's frikkin' cheap. So I paid for two games.

And boy did we have fun.

Our alignments were off, we finish a game in 20 frikkin minutes (Pros can finish a game in 5 minutes!) and I won... twice!!!---> This means I won the whole thing. Hahahahaha!!!--> but we had fun!!!

We are the kinds of people who don't need alcohol to have fun. We take pleasure in doing stuff that people often overlook.

I think the most pleasurable thing is the simplest thing in the world. Like eating, drinking coffee, reading a book with a facial mask plastered on the face (And drifting off to sleep with that thing on your face. Damn syok!)

Clubbing? Yeah... I do that once in a blue cheese moon, but I don't do it as often as I have. I stayed away from alcohol most of the time too. It's not good for my fitness.

Although sometimes when I read in other people's blogs about their clubbing trips, makes me want to go and do that too. I miss the dressing up part the most. I never missed the hang overs. Now I enjoy wining and Tapas-ing then clubbing. Even that I don't do often.

Oh well, whatever that pushes our buttons, I am sure we will have a good time doing it.

Jalur lebar my ass

I guess being humans, we can never be satisfied with what we have.

I am sure that the internet connection in some other 'truly 3rd world' countries is worst off but at the moment, please allow me to rant.

I am not blaming the customer service rep to tell me inconsistent tbas for the issue. I am sure the fault here lies with their tech engineers.

Fix it mafakers, fix it!

Pfffttt!!

To Sean,

I am doing fine. I am only not fine if you keep on asking me if I am.

Life point

Sometimes you have to move over your disappointment and hang on to your principles while other people trampled on theirs.

;)...

Kind of fun watching from the sidelines.

On Sundays I...

Cook... Yes... I cook...

And this is what I decided to cook today :

Asam Pedas Johor.

Ingredients?

- 1 red onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 tbsp ground chilli (Cili Boh la orang Muh-Lay-Sherr panggil)
- 1 to 2 tbsp cooking oil (I use extra virgin olive oil in mine, so I don't have to really freak out on extra calories la.)
- 1 small bowl of tamarind juice (Can also substitute with dried tamarind)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (May also use fresh turmeric, less than 1/2 inch of that. Don't want it to be too yellow.. or else might as well cook curry or Lemak cili padi kan?)
- 1 piece of chicken (I used keel. Can use any part, suited to own preference)
- Belacan (I use belacan powder which you can buy at supermarkets for less than RM 1, if you are still using the conventional ones that comes in big pieces... I guess about an inch or two will do. Just remember... NOT TOO MUCH.)

Now this is a recipe for one serving.  Read: Very very little.

- With mortar and pestle, crush the red onion and garlic.
- Add in the ground chilli, turmeric powder and belacan (You can stop crushing it now.. hehe)
- Heat cooking oil in pot.
- Saute the mixture for about 2 minutes. Keep on stirring so that it won't burn (I would like to say until the 'minyak naik' but I don't know how to put that in English... :P)
- Put in the chicken pieces and stir it in with the mixture.
(Warning: because of the chilli, if you are not used to it, at this point, there might be a possibility of coughing and sputtering and teary eyes while slaving in front of the stove)
- Pour in the tamarind juice (If you are using dried tamarinds, pour in water and then throw in the dried tamarinds.)
-Give it 5 mins to simmer before serving.

*Serve with bread (Baguette's the best, but I any bread would do really) or steamed rice (If you are not like me... THIS would be the best option.)
** I would suggest for better taste, add in daun kesum (Vietnamese mint). It smells nicer tooo! :)

Bon Appetit!!!

2010 / 2011 travel plans

I have a resolution to be completed by the end of 2011 (Kalau panjang umur).

I want to finish this list :

1) Langkawi
2) Club Med Cherating
3) Perhentian
4) Penang
5) Kelantan
6) Sabah
7) Sarawak
8) Sipadan Islands
9) Mataking Islands

I want to explore my own backyard before I can say that I went to other places in the world. If you are in my FB, you would know how seriously ticked off I can be at locals who said things like; 'Owh I have goWne to LonDan... I had an eeencreedibal toime!!! Not loikeee Muhlayyyy-Sherrrr' -- Oh yes... been in the UK for a month and they come back speaking in bloody cockney!

I think Malaysia is underrated by her own people. Somehow, her people get blinded by the political stupidity and people who don't matter.

Yes Malaysia is a she... I hope she would stop all the hapless pricks ruling her soil (and spoiling her!)

Malaysians boasts too much on having gone to other places out of Malaysia, even Singapore! A fact which is rather.... moronic. I go to fucking Singapore when I have nothing to do and when I want to torture myself with Singaporean bad attitude.

Rarely happened. I would rather take the drive down to Malacca than to plastic Singapore.

Malaysians overlooked the fact that we have beautiful beaches, somewhat friendly people and great food!!

So this could be me... in months to come...

With slightly more tanned skin
Or...

With better hair and sans the jeans plus I would have a mini notebook (Imagine having to lug a laptop on top of the load that I would have in my backpack.. oih)

'Cuti-cuti Malaysia'-Part 1

Monday was the beginning of my so called break.

I HAD to apply for leave because my accumulated annual PTOs are UNbelievable.

If you think mine is ridiculous, two of my management team colleagues' are outrageously absurd. Respectively they have a combined 3 months worth of leave.

But that's my headache to start urging them to plan and to also plan for them.

And, guess what happened on Monday?

I was doing my push ups in the gym when I realized that I was supposed to not come in for work that night.

*Sheepish idiot*..:P

I have been on a photo taking spree since the last two weekends. So because I am going to be on PTO for three days, I figured... what the hell... let's just start something out of fun.

Of course on Monday, I wasn't aware I was supposed to be on leave until maybe about 3 pm... so that one went down the drain.

But, I did all the things I would usually do on Monday, plus a couple of unplanned things after I remembered that I am supposed to be on PTO.

Breakfast; Mushroom and Basil Omelette

Before going to the gym. Come on, gym's filled with gay guys. Who wears make up just to sweat it out!

After shower. A bit bummed that the steam room was still under repair.

My gym.. :P

My very late lunch. (This was taken at 5-ish in the evening); Char Koay Teow, less seafood and yummy Soy milk.

And a healthy dash of cili api!!!

My early dinner, 'bistik' at Vichuda's. Theirs were chicken, I thought the word 'bistik' had always meant 'beef steak'?

Satisfied and was still thinking wtf to do at home that night.

Krishna was coughing and wheezing. So I accompanied him to the clinic that day. I still hate clinics. Never liked it. I feel so blessed that I am a healthy person, maybe not emotionally because I think I am a certified crazy... but I am healthy physically.

I am not going to post anything about what I did or where I went to on the 2nd or 3rd day. I still don't know what am I going to do tomorrow. :P... Suggestions are welcomed of course. :)
